Olympiacos have officially completed the signing of Mbaye Ndiaye, adding one of the EuroLeague’s most athletic and versatile forwards to their roster for the 2026-27 season.
The Greek powerhouse confirmed the move on Thursday, welcoming the 27-year-old Senegal international to Piraeus with a social media post.

Ndiaye arrives from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, where he spent the previous three seasons and gradually established himself as an important part of the French club’s rotation on both ends of the floor.
The 2.04-meter forward joined ASVEL from ADA Blois in 2023 after an impressive campaign in the French league, during which he averaged 10.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.
His progress in Villeurbanne was interrupted by a serious ACL injury suffered in December 2024 during a EuroLeague game in Belgrade. However, Ndiaye successfully returned to action and re-established himself during the 2025-26 campaign.
Last season, he averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks across 32 EuroLeague appearances, emerging as one of ASVEL’s most impactful defensive players.
His performances had convinced ASVEL to extend his contract until 2029 earlier this summer, but his future quickly became the subject of speculation as the French club reshaped its roster. Olympiacos ultimately moved to secure his services, bringing the Senegalese international to Piraeus.
Ndiaye gives Olympiacos a very different profile at the forward positions. His athleticism, length, defensive versatility and ability to protect the rim allow him to operate across multiple positions, while his activity on the offensive glass provides another dimension to the Reds’ frontcourt.
For Ndiaye, the move represents another significant step in a career that began in Senegal before continuing in France with Bourg-en-Bresse, Blois and ASVEL. He will now join a team competing for the biggest titles in European basketball and enter a new chapter in Piraeus.
