Paris Basketball have turned a disappointing start to the EuroLeague season into an impressive run of results, recording three consecutive road victories. Their latest success came against Anadolu Efes (95-90), with Nadir Hifi delivering another outstanding performance.
Not long ago, Paris Basketball were sitting at 1-6 and struggling to keep pace with the EuroLeague competition. Things have changed considerably since then. The French side have now secured three consecutive victories away from home, defeating Dubai, Maccabi and Anadolu Efes to improve their record to 4-6.
The results have provided an important boost for a team that continues to rely on its distinctive offensive identity.
Hifi Is Doing It All
Against Efes in Istanbul, Nadir Hifi produced one of his most complete performances, finishing with 28 points, six rebounds and nine assists in fewer than 25 minutes.
The French guard combined his scoring ability with excellent playmaking, finding ways to create opportunities for his teammates while remaining Paris’ main offensive threat.
His performance was particularly impressive considering Cameron Payne’s outstanding 33-point, seven-assist display for Efes. Despite the American guard’s efforts, Paris found the answers when they mattered most.
Playing at Their Own Pace
Paris have built their identity around speed, aggressive guard play and the willingness to attack whenever an opportunity appears. Against Efes, they scored 29 points in the fourth quarter to overturn a 70-66 deficit and secure another important victory.
More importantly, their recent performances suggest that they are beginning to combine their attacking philosophy with better results. Winning three consecutive road games is no small achievement in the EuroLeague, especially for a team that had managed just one victory in its first seven appearances.
The turnaround does not mean that all their early problems have disappeared, but it has certainly changed the outlook.
At 4-6, Paris still have plenty of work ahead of them. However, with Hifi playing at this level and the team finding ways to win difficult games on the road, their season suddenly looks much more promising.
