VAGGELIS PATAS

I was born in the summer of 1987, just 44 days after Greece's historic triumph at EuroBasket 1987. My journey in sports journalism began in September 2007 with the newspaper Ora ton Spor. For several years, I focused exclusively on basketball, but over time I broadened my coverage to include athletics, tennis, water polo, and other sports. Today, I also cover football, with a particular focus on AEK FC and its day-to-day reporting. Throughout my career, I have worked for major sports media outlets, including Eurohoops.net and AllStarBasket.gr, while also contributing to radio stations such as Sports24Radio 103.3. In addition, I have collaborated with television programs broadcast on channels such as Blue Sky. In April 2010, I joined the sports newspaper Prasini, and in December 2018 I became part of the editorial team at Onsports.gr. Since October 2020, I have also been contributing to Newsbomb.gr. I am grateful to have been part of the SKWEEK journey since Day One.
