And then there were two. On day four of Phygital Basketball presented by Halyk Fund, every rebound, defensive stop and shot carried the weight of a place in tomorrow’s Games of the Future Astana 2026 final. After two gripping and hard-fought semifinals, it will be reigning champions LIGA PRO TEAM and Wilders who do battle for the championship, while Triada and Dangerous will meet in the third-place playoff.
Wilders vs Triada
Wilders became the first team to secure their spot in the final, delivering another composed performance to defeat Triada 34-26.
Triada looked the sharper side early in the digital stage, but Wilders gradually took back control, turning the momentum around to take a valuable 20-12 lead into the physical stage.
If the digital game was entertaining, the court delivered pure semifinal tension. Five minutes passed without a single point as both teams threw themselves into every possession, refusing to give an inch. Wilders finally broke the deadlock with a huge two-pointer before locking Triada down with a relentless defence. Although Triada refused to stop fighting, the deficit proved too much to overcome as Wilders closed out a deserved victory.
Digital stage: Wilders 20-12 Triada
Physical stage: Wilders 14-14 Triada
Final result: Wilders 34-26 Triada
Sergey Kozlov from Wilders: “Triada are a very strong team, so we’re pleased with the performance. We knew building an advantage in the digital stage would be important, and we carried that momentum into the physical game. Every match is different, but today our defence made the difference.”
Dangerous vs LIGA PRO TEAM
They may be reigning Games of the Future champions, but LIGA PRO TEAM were pushed all the way before booking their place in another final with a hard-fought 30-26 victory over Dangerous.
LIGA PRO TEAM once again proved why they are one of Phygital Basketball’s dominant forces, building an important 20-14 advantage during the digital stage. But Dangerous refused to let the champions walk away with the game. In a physical battle marked by strong defensive play by both teams, Dangerous steadily chipped away at the deficit with some remarkable and difficult shots from beyond the arc.
As the clock ticked down, the gap narrowed to just two points, raising the possibility of another dramatic comeback. However, LIGA PRO TEAM held their nerve in the closing moments to withstand the pressure and secure their place in a second consecutive Games of the Future final.
Digital stage: Dangerous 14-20 LIGA PRO TEAM
Physical stage: Dangerous 12-10 LIGA PRO TEAM
Final result: Dangerous 26-30 LIGA PRO TEAM
Dangerous team manager Lazar Djordjevic said: “We gave everything today, but the deficit from the digital stage proved too much to overcome. LIGA PRO TEAM took their chances, but I was proud of how we responded on the court. Now our focus shifts to the bronze-medal match.”
