JOSE M. PUERTAS

I was born in Granada, Spain, in 1980. I hold degrees in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Nursing, and Education Sciences. Since 2019, I hosted Tirando a Fallar, Spain’s longest-running radio program dedicated exclusively to basketball. Previously, I was part of the show since its launch in 2004. I also worked as a television commentator for EuroLeague, ACB League, and international basketball tournaments on Mediaset, DAZN, and Movistar. I currently broadcasts basketball on the LaLiga Plus platform, and I am a regular contributor to Gigantes del Basket magazine. In 2021, I published my first solo book: 'Giannis Antetokounmpo: The MVP Who Rose from Poverty', which was translated and published in Greece and the United States. I later released 'The NBA Bad Boys' in late 2023 and 'The European Basketball Bad Boys', in late 2025. Since 2025, I also served as director of Play Granada, a festival dedicated to film, literature, and sports culture held in my hometown.
